The Bagrawiya pyramids (also known as Pyramids of Meroe) were the first Egyptian pyramids I’d ever seen. They might not be quite as big as the Great Pyramids of Giza but the sheer number and the fact that they are just standing there, by the side of the road, were quite impressive.
