March 26, 2012. To shake things up a little I took the train (instead of the bus) from Durban to Johannesburg. While a sleeper car ticket in Europe would have probably broken my bank this one was the same price or even cheaper than the bus fare. And since there didn’t seem to be too many single females booked on the train I got the whole 4 person compartment to myself. Sometimes all it takes is a little luck.
After fighting with the Johannesburg metrorail system (I like to think I won) I’ve checked into Lebo’s Backpackers in Soweto for two nights. Tomorrow I’ll get a private walking tour of what might be the world’s most famous township.
Wednesday a new adventure starts: Zimbabwe.
