October 12, 2011. Met everyone yesterday. Spent the first night in the tent. Tired, scared, but still very much looking forward to what’s ahead.
So turns out – and that I find really smart! – we’re spending a couple of nights in Spain first (beautiful campsite by the beach in Tarifa) to get settled into camp life…. I am travelling with 11 wonderful people, mainly British and Australian. Will give a bit more info next time but I guess you’ll be as surprised as I was about the kind of peeps on the trip…
We’ll go up to Gibraltar tomorrow to get some more shopping done (I think I did pack too light after all…). Early Friday morning we’ll hopefully – finally – hit the ferry from Algeciras to Ceuta. From there it’s sorting out the visas in Rabat (and visiting places along and around) for about two weeks before we go into the Atlas Mountains.
